GOLDEN OAK GOLF TOURNAMENT
The Golden Oak Golf Tournament teed off in the right direction again this year. The third annual Golden Oaks Golf Tournament was held on October 16, 2004 at the Serrano County Club in El Dorado Hills. Two families from the Sutter CF center, Morgan and Mellisa Mahanke, and Kelly and Mario Brancoli, partnered with the Sacramento Cystic Fibrosis Chapter to host the event, together they raised $49,500. The Mahanke's and the Brancolis dedicated a lot of time to make this event such a classy and successful tournament, thank you.
This event extends beyond just golf, it also included a raffle, a silent action, a live auction, wine tasting and a fabulous dinner. In addition to the time spent by the families the large group of volunteers spent countless hours searching for donations for the raffle, and auctions. The volunteers raised over $35,000 in donated items for this event. Some of the volunteers that generously donated their time are, Christi Walsh, Heather. Please mark your calendars for 2005 for this event will be held in October. You are invited to participate in the golf tournament or just come for a fun evening out and have dinner with some friends.
